Rubric Forges Localization Alliance with Macromedia

Agree to localize Macromedia software products for Europe and Latin America

Monday, April 19, 2004

Rubric announced today that Macromedia has awarded Rubric a Master Services Agreement (MSA) to be the software company's sole localization partner for European and Latin American markets. Under the MSA, Rubric is localizing Macromedia software, online help, documentation and product collateral into French, German, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.

"Thoughtful planning, operational flexibility, on-demand scalability and honest business ethics were compelling factors in choosing Rubric as our localization partner," said Tim Hussey, senior director of globalization, Macromedia. "When we began looking for a localization company agile enough to handle our large and dynamically changing product line, Rubric was the clear choice-they back up what they claim and deliver results." Macromedia had worked with Rubric on a project basis for five years prior to entering the more formal MSA.

"Localizing your products is serious business," said Tom Shapiro, Rubric's vice president of strategic business development. "Clients like Macromedia understand that well-managed localization ensures that products reach their global markets on time and can save a company hundreds of thousands of dollars in costs annually. Rubric helps Macromedia to thrive on a global scale, growing their revenues, building their brand equity and increasing customer satisfaction."
