Rubric Celebrates CS4

The long-standing relationship between Rubric and Adobe brings Creative Suite 4 to market on time.

Edinburgh, San Jose — September 23, 2008 — Rubric, the language services company of choice for Silicon Valley software companies, celebrates the release of Adobe's Creative Suite 4 (CS4).

"We have been working with Adobe for more than a decade," said Françoise Spurling, Chief Operating Officer for Rubric. "This long and stable relationship has led to very efficient localization of Adobe products."

Rubric worked on key components of CS4 including Flash, Air, Contribute and Dreamweaver. Rubric's in-country translators and subject experts made these products ready for people whose primary languages are French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch and Swedish.

"Rubric had more than 50 translators and several dozen software engineers localizing these products," said Spurling. "All our human resources are in-country, which is the only way to ensure that software works well for end users abroad. Our intimacy with Adobe's products and with their internal needs is what made localizing CS4 a success and makes Adobe a success overseas."

A deep relationship between software vendors and language services companies is essential in the Internet age. To remain competitive, software companies must "sim-ship," or simultaneously ship new releases of their products. Rubric's dedication to customer care makes sim-shipping in many languages a possibility.

"Rubric understands relationships," said Ian Henderson, CEO for Rubric. "Adobe has been a customer for a decade. Toshiba for fifteen years. By listening to our clients, becoming intimate with their goals and processes, we are better able to make them profitable and help them dominate their markets."
