Rubric Holds First Silicon Valley Birds of a Feather Localization Breakfast

High Tech Globalization Professionals Meet to Network and Learn

London, Boston, San Jose, San Francisco — December 7, 2006 — Rubric held their inaugural "Birds of a Feather" meeting for localization professionals in the Silicon Valley.

"There is a hunger in the valley to share experience and knowledge on technology globalization," said Ian Henderson, Rubric's CEO. "By invitation we brought together people from marquee technology companies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area to learn and meet one another."

Silicon Valley localization gurus came for the breakfast meeting, which included representatives from Adobe, ShoreTel, Verisign, ReplayTV and EFI networked before breakfast was served, and the presentation began.

"Amazing things happen when you bring together such strong minds," said Francoise Spurling, COO at Rubric. "The interaction before the meeting began was electric as people made new friends and shared ideas for localizing software, documentation and marketing materials."

Breakfast was followed by a presentation on "ensuring linguistic quality" in localizations. Spurling drove home the key issues, which appeared as bullet points on coffee mugs handed out to the attendees.

"Linguistic quality is not a negotiable issue," said Spurling. "We wanted everyone to go home with our tactics firmly in the minds and in their hands every morning."

Ian Henderson led the question and answer session afterwards that lasted far beyond the allotted time. Attendees were inquisitive and openly shared their experience in assuring they met the quality needs of their international customers.

"Rubric customers give us a 99% satisfaction rating," said Ian Henderson, CEO of Rubric. "This is due to many factors, where effective localization project management is central. Our 'Birds of a Feather' meetings are our way of bringing our insights and those of high-tech companies into one room. "
