RUBRIC ANNOUNCES PATENT PENDING TECHNOLOGIES

Thursday, July 1, 1999

Rubric, a localization services provider to Information Technology companies, announced that certain internally developed technologies are patent pending with the USPTO. The technologies are used by Rubric to enhance its localization services for its software and computer company clients.

Unlike Visual Studio or Delphi, the technologies enable visual interactivity of software files in a WYSIWYG setting without the full build environment. Additional features include automatic detection of undersizing, hot-key conflicts, out-of-order variables, spelling errors and inconsistent punctuation. The results are a streamlining of the software localization process, more user-friendly interface for localization teams, reduction of review cycles, and greater QA capabilities for localization teams.

"It is critical that we are constantly developing and refining technologies to streamline the localization process for our customers. The patent pending status on our technologies is representative of our commitment to this," said Ian Henderson, Director of Strategic Development at Rubric. "In order to maintain fully reliable, scalable and sustainable localization solutions for our customers, we apply technology to the localization process, striving to reduce cycle times while concurrently increasing the quality of the localized product. This translates into getting more done in less time with greater accuracy."
