Rubric, a software, documentation and Web site localization company, has been named as a strategic partner by Trilogie Consultants, a high technology consulting company that strategically positions U.S.-based technology firms in international markets in order to generate/increase profits.
Rubric and Trilogie will cooperate on various levels, including the sharing of advice to assist each other's clients. The companies will also cooperate in providing guidance to the information technology industries, promoting the value of going global. To that end, representatives from the two companies participated in a forum at the Software Publishers Association Annual Conference in Chicago in September 1998, offering guidelines for expanding into overseas markets and for effective localization. Both firms will continue their joint educational activities as co-sponsors of an upcoming invitation-only event in conjunction with the British Consulate for companies looking to expand into Europe.
Trilogie's primary services include establishing an international business plan/model, developing effective international sales, distribution, and marketing strategies, improving international sales force and distribution channel performance, and adapting products to meet local requirements. Trilogie works with U.S.-based companies focused on innovative technologies. Recent engagements have included Open Market, Mainspring Communications, and Centra Software. Randi Bussin, President and Founder, has held executive positions with Microsoft Corporation, Compaq Computer, Wang Laboratories and Codex Corporation in various European cities and Boston.
