Multilingual Computing & Technology: April/May 1999

In its April/May 1999 issue, Multilingual Computing & Technology magazine quoted Rubric's Ian Henderson, Director of Engineering, multiple times in the article "Translation Technology Trends".

In response to the question, "Does translation technology reduce the cycle time for localization projects?", Henderson answered:

"Unquestionably, by applying technology to the localization process, one can reduce cycle time and costs while increasing the quality of the localized product. However, it is critical that technology be applied intelligently, in terms of the overall localization process. One needs to address issues such as intake management, language management, file management, change management, and QA management. Companies will realize the most significant gains in productivity when they apply technology holistically to the localization process, rather than by seeing any one tool itself as the overall solution."
