Translation Management and Memory
Getting the most out of your translation history
All languages have repetitive components. Words, phrases, and terminology are often repeated in collateral, documentation, and even your web site. Rubric uses technology and highly tuned project management processes to accelerate your localization efforts by exploiting this function of language.
Rubric uses both in-house and industry-standard tools for the management of language components. We maintain inventories of key terms and phrases, organized by such criteria as client, industry, and technology. Rubric also builds new glossaries when we accept a new client or project. These tools reduce scaling needs for new projects, and improve translation quality by creating consistency throughout and between your documentation and product user interfaces.
Rubric expedites your localization through several efforts based on our language-management tools and expertise:
Preprocessing: When your content is first delivered to Rubric, we pre-process the files using our language-management tools, speeding the discovery of content and software issues that may need to be corrected before localization begins.
Translation: Our translators employ Rubric language-management tools to assure consistency in translations (i.e. use the exact same phrase throughout a translated document) and to speed localization.
Updates: Your content will be updated with new versions of your products. Rubric language-management tools and processes help find differences in source documentation and expedite the translation of changes.
